Anjuli Fatima Raza Kolb is Associate Professor of English at Dartmouth, where she teaches postcolonial literature and theory and poetry. Her academic research focuses on race and racialization in the history of science and the disciplines.

 

Her first book, Epidemic Empire (University of Chicago Press, 2021) uncovers the history behind the dead metaphor of the "terrorism epidemic” through the joined histories of epidemiology and Islamophobia in the British, French, and US empires. Anjuli is also a poet, essayist, and translator.
